Product Overview
Aluminium-clad steel (ACS) wire is a bimetallic wire with aluminium continuously and uniformly clad onto a steel core. It combines good electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and high-frequency transmission performance with the strength of steel. It is the standard stranding material for OPGW optical ground wire, and is also used for overhead ground wire and as the reinforcement core in ACSR-type conductors. Compared with conventional steel-cored aluminium strand, ACS-reinforced conductor is typically lighter with lower power loss and a longer service life, without any additional installation cost.
